LEARN TO SURF
Learn to surf along part of South Africa's most pristine and beautiful coastlines where dolphins frolic in the warm water and sunrise surfs transport you to a surreal serenity. Our qualified and uber-cool surf coach will make you feel like you were born to surf. This programme includes wetsuits and surfboards and the opportunity to hang with the local underprivileged surfing groms.
PRE-SCHOOL PROJECT
We believe that education is the grounding force behind a fulfilled future. We support a small creche in the Tokyo Sexwhale community of Jeffrey's Bay where teachers are severely understaffed. Your role in this project is to assist with daily routine with the children such as feeding, reading and play as well as come up with and implement lesson plans with conservation as the key focus.
SPORTS PROJECT
Ever wished you could skip a sports class? Believe us - these kids don't! Can you imagine a whole school day, week, YEAR even without any structured sports and play? Think of all the essential skills learned through communication, patience, structure and co-operation that plays a role in team sports. And who knows - you could help spark the passion in one of South Africa's future sport stars!
WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
South Africa has a rich and diverse collection of fauna and flora which needs regular monitoring and data collection for proactive management. This project sees volunteers assisting at reserves that are understaffed, creating posters and flyers to market conservation as a necessity, organising beach and lagoon clean-ups as well as fauna and flora data collection to assist with current research projects. Get up close and personal with the African Penguin, spend early mornings doing bird counts and set up traps to see if the rare Peringueyi's gecko is still around!
